Abstract:The study on deformation of ultralow carbon steel in ferrite region was carried out on Thermecmaster hot simulator and the condition for dynamic recrystallization(DRX) obtained is that the strain rate should be less than 1 s-1 for steel deformed at a temperature of 850 ℃. A dynamic recrystallization model for ferrite was deduced based on experimental results. The predicted values by dynamic recrystallization model are in agreement with test results.
