Abstract:HRB400 is a kind of high strength hot rolled reinforced bar emphatically promoted by the national policy of steel industry. Three experimental schemes were executed to validate the feasibility of producing the Vbearing HRB400 bar with Si3N4 alloy as nitrogen alloy reagent. Results show that 0.5 kg/t VN can be replaced by 0.5 kg/t Si3N4 and 0.6 kg/t FeV for alloying to obtain rational V/N ratio and stable properties of reinforced bars. Thus a new alloying technology for nitrogen addition is to be emerged.
