Abstract:According to the high casting speed experiment at the plant of Shougang Jingtang United Iron and Steel Co.,Ltd.,the rivet pin shooting technique has been adopted for the measurement of solidifying shell thickness to verify the thermal transformation model. It is shown that the models could meet the requirement of the accurate process control during 1.9-2.4 m/min high casting speed,if only the stability and precision of the caster structure and water spraying operation are in good conditions. And combined with mathematic model and rivet pin shooting, the solidification process can be predicted accurately to optimize the secondary cooling and soft reduction technique.
