Abstract:The hot temperature compression behaviors of a new secondary hardening carburized steel-C61 was implemented using Gleeble-3800 thermal simulation testing machine. The high temperature flow curve was determined and the microstructures were observed. The activation energy[Q]of thermal deformation of the testing steel was 414.84 kJ/mol. The thermal deformation equation and the hot processing map were established. The optimal thermal deformation processing parameters were determined combined with microstructures after high temperature deformation and the hot processing map. The region of the best thermal deformation temperature ranged from 1 050 to 1 100 ℃ and strain rates from 0.1 to 1.0 s-1. The behavior of completely dynamic recrystallization could be observed,the grains were refined obviously,and the corresponding energy dissipation efficiency reached the peak.
