Abstract:In order to explore the effects of La on mechanical properties of FeCrAl stainless steel under high temperature, mechanical properties under high temperature were tested on FeCrAl stainless steel by gleeble 3500. The fracture microstructure and morphology of the investigated steel after drawing were analyzed by means of Optical Microscopy (OM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The results show that the addition of La improves the tensile strength of FeCrAl stainless steel and removes the third brittleness zone. From the analysis results of fracture morphology, deep dimples were found on the surface of fracture under the temperature of high plastic zone, and the fracture mechanism mainly belongs to transcrystalline rupture. Cleavage fracture and shallow dimples were found on the surface of fracture under the temperature of low plastic zone, and the fracture mechanism mainly belongs to intergranular fracture.
