Research of high casting speed technology of thin slab continuous casting

Abstract:Key technologies realizing high casting speed on Tangsteel thin slab caster are introduced. The technologies including mold copper cooling, mold level detection and LQG control mode, bulging rejection model, INMO mold oscillator, new SEN, new mold powder, segment nonuniform roller diagram design and secondary cooling technology have been optimized and applied, thus the casting speed of thin slab continuous casting reaches to 6 m/min, the mold level is stable, and the ratio of good slabs is above 99.8%.
