Study on Solidification Heat Transfer of 36Mn2V Round Billet Horizontal Continuous Casting Based on Pin Shooting Experiment |

Abstract By taking 36Mn2V round billet horizontal continuous casting process as the research object .By means of pin shooting, infrared measurement temperature tests, sulfur print test and macroeach test studied on heat and solidification process of the 36Mn2V round billet, through this study that 36Mn2V round billet in the casting speed v = 213 m/min, the superheat of tundish ΔT = 52 ℃ and billet the liquid core length L=168 m, the index of central porosity is 15 and the index of center crack is 15. Test results showed that the related means of pin shooting experiment can be effectively analyzed the process of solidification heat transfer of billet.
