Abstract：The content of nitrogen in coal was determined by nitrogen analyzer using Dumas combustion method. The sample was divided into three stages in one analysis cycle: flushing, combustion and analysis. The results showed that compared with the traditional wet methods for the determination of nitrogen content in coal, the Dumas combustion method was simple and easy to operate, and the accuracy was ensured in rapid analysis, which could meet the requirements of industrial production and experimental analysis.
