Abstract:In order to improve the service life of the continuous casting roller, two kinds of zirconia coatings were prepared on the surface of H13 steel by plasma spraying and remolten by laser. The influence of thermal barrier coatings on the roll temperature field were analyzed by ABAQUS software, the coating structure of the surface and the section was observed by OLS3100,the element distribution in the coating section was measured by scanning electron microscope(SEM),and the thermal shock resistance of the coating was tested by Gleeble-3800 thermomechanical simulator. It is found that the porosity and micro cracks of nano zirconia coating after laser remelting are significantly lower than those of conventional zirconia coating, and the thermal shock resistance of nano zirconia coating are superior to conventional coating.
