Abstract:At the height of high-quality development,the high-quality development of iron and steel is defined in terms of the supply system,demand,layout,circular economy and comprehensive benefits. The fundamentals for the high-quality development of the iron and steel industry and the deep-level problems existed in the high-quality development process of the steel industry,i.e.,the product quality,the green development,the technical equipment,the smart manufacturing,the service awareness,the industrial order and the internationalization were analyzed. Meanwhile, the supply-side reform and laid a solid foundation for the development of the iron and steel industry in China was also discussed. Combining the practice of the high-quality development of the outstanding iron and steel industry,it is pointed out that the iron and steel industry should improve its competitiveness through the technological advancement,product upgrading,technological innovation, low-carbon development and standard leadership to achieve the high-quality development.
