Abstract: Effect of isothermal treatment temperature in bainite region and Nb content on microstructure and mechanical properties of lowcarbon (w(Mn)=1.38%, w(Si)=0.6%, w(Al)=0.5%) TRIP(Transformation Induced Plasticity) steels was investigated by annealing in twophase region and isothermal treatment in bainite region. The results show that the increase in Nb content, decreases retained austenite fraction, however, increases tensile strength and yield strength. When Nb content is 0.014%, the experimental steel has a high elongation and good strengthductility balance (TS×EL). The experimental steel has high retained austenite fraction, and good mechanical properties when the isothermal treatment in bainite region is 400 ℃.
