Abstract:The average heat size of 80 t converter at Lianyuan Steel was increased to 100 t with an oxygen supply intensity of 3.83 m3/(t·min) by optimization of lance parameters based on measurement of blow field of jetting, optimization of oxygen supply regime for slag formation and increase of charge. Thus, the yearly output was increased by 0.25 million ton. The oxygen flow rate was considered for lance designing to guarantee safety operation. The converter campaign has been increased somewhat by use of high efficiency blowing technique.
