Abstract:For super low carbon IF Steel, the RHTB vacuum treatment, was investigated. The effect of initial molten steel conditions and suitable methods for molten steel with different initial conditions were studied by natural decarbonization and forced decarbonization processes. The results showed that the optimum initial composition is as followings: w(C)=0.030%0.040%, a[O]=0.050%0.070%, t=15901610 ℃. The final composition of w(C)≤0.0025%, w(TO)≤0.0025%, can be stably obtained after RHTB treatment. The test result was proved in production.
