Abstract:The temperature, strain and stress fields in modest hot slide were numerically simulated using sequentially coupled 3dimensional heat transfer and stress equations and finite element method. The results show that the highest temperature of modest hot slide rises with increasing of height and reduces with increasing of length, and the highest temperature of trapezoid slide is lower than that of rectangle by 1520 ℃ at same height and length. The largest equivalent stress of rectangle slide is greater than that of trapezoid slide and is located at the weld and rises with increasing height and length of the modest hot slide.
