Experimental Research of Hot Metal Predephosphorizing With Premelted Dephosphorizer

Abstract:With CaOFe2O3CaF2 system slag as dephosphorizer,the influencing factors of such premelted dephosphorizer,composition,addition rate, treating temperature, initial phosphors content in hot metal and granularity of premelted slag was studied in laboratory. As a result, at 1350 ℃ and with a ratio of w(CaO)/w(Fe2O3) about 1.0,adding 10% premelted dephosphorizer could lower the phosphorus content in hot metal to 0.0079% with a dephosphorization rate of 96.24%. The dephosphorization rate was not affected by initial phosphorus content in hot metal and granularity of premelted slag.
