Abstract:The 316L steels with 2-10wt.% Aluminum were prepared with WS-4 nonconsumable arc production furnace. The microstructure of the alloys were investigated by metallurgical microscope. The EPMA-1600 electron probe was used to analysize the distribution of the elements and the D8 advance was used to analysize the composition of phase. then the compression property and hardness of the alloy samples were investigated at room. The results showed that the Carbide from continuous strip to material point with the increase of Al content. The aluminum was dissolved into the metal matrix, When the Al content was lesser than 6wt.%, the phase of alloy matrix was γ-phase; when the Al content was more than 6wt.%, then the alloy matrix transfered toα-phase; and the alloy was transformed from plastic materials to brittle materials.
