Abstract:Anti-bend Rate is the key parameters but very difficult to determine, while it must be identified before calculation of force and energy parameters. According to the concept of virtual fulcrum, the energetic parameter model was first built. And then, by using the upper and lower vertices’ position of neutral layer, the anti-bend rate was determined by curve fitting method. Finally, the straightening force was calculated when the anti-bent rate was drawn into computational model. Based on this method and the process parameters of No.2 straightener in some steel plant, the straightening force was calculated. It indicates that this method is accurate and effective.
