Abstract:As gap between rolls during two-roll straightening process was not easy to determine,a 3D elastic-plastic FEM simulation model of this process was developed by nonlinear FEM software. Based on this model,variation of straightening force,residual stress,the max deflection and depth of plastic deformation of bar was analyzed in different gaps. Reasonable value of gap between rolls was presented by the comprehensive consideration. This value was applied in actual production and the time of adjusting the gap was reduced.
