Abstract:The aging treatment for 2209 duplex stainless steel weld were performed at 690℃. Precipitation and its effect on impact properties of 2209 duplex stainless steel were analyzed by TEM, phase analysisand and impact tests. The results show that precipitations are M23C6 and σprecipitation, they nucleate at α/γphase boundaries and in α phase. With prolonged aging time, precipitation’s grain size and quantities increase while the impact energy decrease. The impact fracture morphology cleavage was analyzed by SEM. The types of impact fracture are dimpleand quasi cleavage, the fracture characterized changing from the typical ductile rupture to the brittle fracture.
