Effect of basicity on quality of magnesium fluxed pellets

Abstract:In order to improve the quality of magnesium fluxed pellets, Tangsteel iron ore concentrated as the raw material in the experiment, the pelleting and roasting experiments were carried out. The effect of basicity on the quality of magnesium fluxed pellets was analyzed, combining with the analysis of the change rules of ore phase structure. The results show that with the increase of basicity, the intensity of green pellets decreases slightly and the decrepitation temperature decreases. When the basicity is more than 1.2, the decrepitation temperature decreases sharply, and compressive strength of pellets increases. When the basicity is more than 1.2, compressive strength decreases sharply; low temperature reduction degradation is effected slightly, low temperature reduction degradation is basically over 90%, and the softening start temperature increases. With the increase of basicity, the content of calcium ferrite increases, and the grain grows and the porosity decreases firstly and then increases. The bonding rate of pellets increases, the basicity increases by 0.1 and the bonding rate increases by 1.4%.
