Numerical simulation study on single-point unequilibrium casting for beam blank in Laiwu Iron and Steel Company
Aimed at the single-point straight nozzle casting of ultrathin and large section beam blank in Laiwu Iron and Steel Company, the coupled numerical simulation for the flow, heat transfer and solidification in the mould have been carried out by software FLUENT. And the effects of different immersion depth of the nozzle, casting speed and superheat on the flow field, temperature field and solidified shell are discussed. The results indicate that the effect of the immersion depth of the nozzle on them is very small, and the effects of the casting speed and superheat on them are greater. Especially, the impact of steel flow, temperature change and growth of solidified shell on the narrow surface of the pouring side are greatly affected by the casting speed and superheat. The results of this study can provide a basis for the optimization of process parameters in actual production.

High speed production technology of 160 mm× 160 mm continuous casting in Sangang
Production process of high efficiency continuous casting of general steel was studied and analyzed, and it is concluded that the main problems of high efficiency continuous casting are steel leakage,internal defects of slab and billet rhomboidity. By means of improving the spot-shaped high efficiency mould and high drawing speed protection slag, optimizing the water distribution of secondary cooling ratio, reducing the superheat of steel and the pressure of drawing straightener, the drawing speed of 160 mm×160 mm billet continuous casting was improved, and the maximum drawing speed was increased from 3.2 to 3.7 m/min. The billet steel leakage, internal quality and billet rhomboidity are also controlled at a better level.

Numerical simulation of the effect of nozzle nodule on the behavior of molten steel in slab continuous casting mold
Taking the mold of 230 mm×1 600 mm slab continuous casting machine as the research object, the VOF model was established by CFD numerical simulation method, and the influence of continuous casting nozzle nodule on steel slag interface fluctuation and molten steel flow behavior was studied. The results show that the flow field in the mold is a typical double circulation morphology when there is no nodule at the nozzle.When there is nodule at the nozzle, there will be serious asymmetric flow on both sides of the nozzle in the mould, with a small range of nodule side stream and a large range of non-nodule side stream. The increase of kinetic energy on the non-nodular side of the nozzle leads to the decrease of the vortex center under the mold, which will increase the impact depth of the molten steel. In addition, due to the high vortex center on the nodule side of nozzle, the fluctuation of meniscus surface and steel slag surface is disordered. In the case of nodules, the steel fluid fluctuates greatly, with the maximum fluctuation difference of 4.03 mm. Without nodules, the fluctuation of molten steel is relatively stable, with the maximum fluctuation difference of 1.4 mm.

Analysis and countermeasure on the formation of surface stress cracks for 17CrNiMo6 steel rods
Aiming at the surface crack phenomenon of 17CrNiMo6 gear round steel products used in reduction gears, and based on Gleeble3800 thermal simulation testing machine, metallographic microscope and other testing equipment, the high-temperature plasticity and expansion curves of 17CrNiMo6 gear steel were analyzed, and the high-temperature brittle region and transformation temperature of 17CrNiMo6 gear steel were obtained. The surface crack control industry of 17CrNiMo6 gear round steel rolling products was tested. The results show that the longitudial facial cracks of the round steel can be avoided by reducing the superheat and increasing the drawing speed, adopting the slow cooling process to increase the straightening temperature of the slab, and reducing the heating rate under the guarantee of the slow cooling effect.

Application of low-power test for dendritical etching in continuous casting
Application of low-power test technology for dendritical etching in the continuous casting production is introduced. The results show that the low-power test of dendritical etching can not only show the defects in continuous casting billet and the details of solidification structure, but also provide an effective way to optimize the process and improve the quality of steel. At the meantime, using belt grinding instead of grinding wheel can greatly shorten the time of sample making and improve the quality of sample making.

Conditions of viscosity measurement of mold fluxes for continuous casting
Improving the ratio of continuous casting is an effective measure to improve the production efficiency and rolling yield, save energy and reduce cost, and is also a key index to reflect the smelting level of steel mills. The viscosity standard of continuous casting protective slag recommended by China's metallurgical industry——internal cylinder rotation method is not clear because of its the guidance of the test method, which leads to large fluctuation of the measurement results in practical work. Combined with the actual work,the test conditions of the viscosity of continuous casting protective slag were studied. The results show that when the carbon content of the sample is less than 0.5%, the length of the constant temperature zone of the furnace body meets the requirements, the temperature fluctuation of the constant temperature zone is less than 3 ℃, the graphite head immersed in the melt was controlled at 10-20 mm, the furnace body was sealed, and the excellent graphite dry pot is used, the furnace body is sealed. The determination result is stable and reliable.

Formation reasons and control measures of abnormal oscillation marks for 10B21 cold-heading steel billets
In order to solve the problems of deep and bending oscillation marks on the surface of billet during continuous casting of 10B21 cold-heading steel produced by a steel mill in china, the characteristics of abnormal oscillation mark on the surface of billet were firstly observed by metallographic microscope, and then the formation reasons of abnormal oscillation mark were analyzed by combining with the actual production conditions. Finally, the process optimization measures to adjust the oscillation parameters and electromagnetic stirring parameters of the mould were proposed and the production tests were carried out. The production test results indicated that the problem of the abnormal oscillation mark on the surface of billet was solved after the adjustment of process parameters, the oscillation mark on the surface of billet become straight and regular, the depth was obviously shallower, the austenite grain size at the oscillation mark decreased obviously, and the surface crack of billet was significantly reduced.

Research on cleanliness of HRB400E steel treated with rare earth
In order to study the effect of rare earth (RE) on the composition and morphology of inclusions in HRB400E steel, the possible inclusions in the treated steel were calculated by thermodynamics, and the inclusions in HRB400E steel before and after rare earth treatment were characterized and analyzed by SEM and EDS. The result showed that Rare earth can be added in the smelting process of screw steel and the amount of added rare earth can reach 0.003 2%; the rare earth can purify the molten steel and reduce the S content of the steel from 0.018% to 0.004% by 77.78%; When the content of rare earth is 0.003 2%, the results of the thermodynamic show that order of the possible inclusion formation in the steel is REAlO3>RE2O2S>Al2O3. The rare earth element plays a certain role in the modification of sulfur and oxygen inclusions. The inclusions are modified into RE2O2S and REAlO3,the combination of rare earth elements and S reduces the precipitation of MnS inclusions in steel, which improves the properties of the steel.

Analysis of the formation mechanism of surface skin on tinplate
In order to clarify the cause of the surface wraping of tin plate at Masteel, the on-site tinplate was sampled and analyzed. The results of defect sampling inspection and analysis show that the main causes of surface warping defects of the tin plate of Masteel at present are pressure oxygen (pressing into the oxide sheet), non-metal inclusions and continuous casting mould protective slag.At the same time, the Parsytec surface quality detection system is difficult to separate striped pressure oxygen from linear nonmetallic inclusion due to the determination of defect types based on the image of the defect, and there is a large error in the determination of inclusion defects.

Analysis on clogging phenomenon of aluminum deoxidized sulfur-containing steel
Nodulation phenomenon of aluminium deoxidized sulphur-containing QC40 steel in a certain factory was analyzed.By scanning surface electron microscopy and energy spectrum analysis, it was found that the nodules were divided into two layers. The nodules near the inner layer of the nozzle were mainly MgO·Al2O3, high melting point CaO-Al2O3 and low melting point CaO-Al2O3. The nodules in the second layer are mainly MgO·Al2O3, CaO-Al2O3 with high melting point and CaS.The inclusions in the bar are mainly MgO·Al2O3, CaO-Al2O3 with high melting point and CaS inclusions.Analysis that appear this kind of phenomenon of nodular CaS belongs to high melting point is the cause of inclusion, but the liquid steel and wetting angle of 87° (less than 90°), belongs to the wettability of molten steel and inclusion, Al2O3 and MgO style and high melting point CaO-Al2O3 and contact angle of liquid steel is greater than 90°, belongs to the high melting point and inclusion with poor wettability of molten steel, thus the CaS inclusions can only in the second the phenomena.The FactSage software was used to theoretically optimize the calcium treatment process of aluminum deoxidized sulfur-containing steel, and it was believed that by optimizing the calcium treatment process and reducing the secondary oxidation, the nodulation behavior of the immersed nozzle could be reduced or even eliminated.

Control of longitudinal crack on the surface of small section beam blank of Masteel
Longitudinal crack is the most common quality defect on the surface of the beam blank. Based on small section beam blank of Masteel,The production data of 2019 were statistically analyzed, and the influences of the viscosity of protective slag, chemical composition of molten steel and protective casting on the surface longitudinal cracks of the billet were studied, which provided a reference for the production of high-quality shaped billets on the spot. The results show that high viscosity slag and clean molten steel are beneficial to reduce the surface crack of casting billet.

According to the development plan of Sangang (group), Fujian Luoyuan Minguang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. added 160 mm×230 mm rectangular blank section on the basis of the 150 mm×150 mm section of No.2 continuous casting machine. Through the equipment transformation and the process parameter optimization, under the premise of satisfying the quality of the billet, the dual objectives of matching the furnace machine and rapidly switching the section were achieved, which satisfied the production requirements.

Precipitation control of NbC in medium carbon niobium microalloyed steel
NbC morphology of carbon round steel in niobium microalloying was studied and analyzed after rolling. According to the study, when the mass fraction of niobium in medium carbon steel is 0.03%, niobium carbide above 5 μm will be precipitated in the process of continuous casting solidification.When the heating temperature of billet rolling is about 1 250 ℃ and the holding time of high temperature section is more than 4 h, the solution of micron grade niobium carbide can be obtained.

Improvement of roller bearing base of steelmaking continuous caster
