Abstract:
The standard of elevated temperature tensile testing only stipulates the lower limit of the holding time,but does not mention the upper limit of holding time. Taking the elevated temperature tensile testing of Ti2AlNb base alloy with 650 ℃ as an example, it is proved that the holding time has an effect on the tensile strength. For the special materials with holding time effect in the elevated temperrature tensile testing process, the standards should clearly specify the holding time range at a each strain rate,so as to ensure the consistency and comparability of the test results of different inspection departments.
