Abstract: Neodymiumironboron (NdFeB) rare earth permanent magnet materials are widely used in the motor field of new energy automobile industry. With the help of point analysis, line analysis and mapping analysis functions of Shimadzu electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA), the microscopic characteristics, chemical composition, and distribution of matrix phase in the micro region of NdFeB magnetic material, as well as the process method of increasing coercivity by grain boundary diffusion, were visually characterized. The results could provide reference for the elaboration of new technology, micro mechanism of magnet preparation and technical improvement of production process. Meanwhile, it effectively provided scientific guidance for the whole process of quality management and failure analysis.
