Abstract:According to the metallurgical condition at Chenggang, the desulphurization capability of slag with high TiO2 and Al2O3 content was studied. The effects of different factors on desulphurization capacity were also studied. The results show that, the favorable slag composition for desulphurization is:basicity (CaO/SiO2) is about 1.16, MgO content is about 13%, Al2O3 content is from 12% to 13%, TiO2 content should be as low as possible.
