Abstract:The temperature distribution in the plate along the thickness affects directly the performance and the shape of the plate. The temperature drop during cooling was simulated using field data, and temperature distribution along the fhickness under the conditions of continuous and interval cooling was compared, the linear regression model for water flowrate ratio was established and rational water flowrate ratio of continuous cooling and interval cooling mode was established.By rational pipe arrangement, interval cooling,and optimized water flowrate the temperature of plate can be controlled to obtain uniform temperature distribution on upper and bottom sufaces and along thickness.Such method was applied to a plate production line, and the quality of the plates was improved.
