Abstract：The possibility and advantages of producing oriented silicon steel by thin slab casting and rolling（TSCR）technology are described.Results show that the coldrolled silicon steel can be produced using TSCR process reasonable chemical composition proper precipitation of prohibitors and subsequent nitriding treatment as the key moments.
