Abstract:In order to reduce the central segregation of 400 mm ultra-thick slab,?several measures were?taken,?such as checking tie rod compensation in fan section,controlling the drive roller mechanical limiting mechanism bolt,and optimizing the structure of drive beam,that the roll gap of the drive roller was well controlled,the internal quality of slab was well improved,and the central?segregation?was?controlled?in class?C?2.0?or?below.?The?results?show that the central?segregation of slab?was?closely?related?to?the?roll?gap of?drive roller at solidification end during soft reduction. Strictly?controlling the?roll gap of the drive roller can?reduce?the?central?segregation effectively.
