Overview on the Development and Technological Progress of Construction Steel Products
In China, the construction steel consumption is the biggest. The rapid development of construction industry provides a wide range of markets for the development and application of construction steel. The development and application of construction steel varieties has been made great progress. But compared with developed countries, scientific research and technology development for the construction steel is still relatively backward. This includes: Lower level of development capabilities of new kind of steel products and applied technology; The low proportion of consumer applications for high-performance high-strength steel; Amendment cycle longer for national standards and technical specifications of construction steel and so on. The technical content of construction steel is relatively low,it belongs to the more basic, lower-end steel. The scientific research and development are relative shortage of capital investment. Variety of construction steel technology indicators still need to be further improved, especially in seismic performance indicators is required depth study. In this paper, development and international technology development trends for the current plate steel, weathering steel, fire-resistant steel and steel rebars was analysis.

Practice of prolonging the campaign life of Baosteel No.3 BF
Baosteel No.3 BF has been running smoothly for over fourteen years, and created a lots of economical technical index records. Many experiences of prolonging the campaign life are obtained. The following measures are taken. Reasonable design of the cooling system ensures smoothly operation and easily maintenance. Besides, we guarantee the qualified ore and coke and control the quantity of alkali metals and Zinc. The running smooth of BF and avoiding change of the BF flow rapidly are sustained by operating. Enough cooling intensity and melioration and stable water quality are needed in necessarily for the safety of shaft. Many steps such as installing cooling cigar, making wall artificially, pushing plasma, gunning, replacing the cooling ware have been taken, the long life of the hearth and crucible is relying on the quantity of the clay and reasonable iron notch, at the same time, the side temperature is in range by control.

Increasing Proportion of Natural Lump Ores in Blast Furnace
In this work, the feasibility of increasing proportion of lump ores in blast furnace was investigated. The lab results showed that self-softening and melting properties of the lump ores were dramatically improved by interaction between sinters and lump ores found in the experiments. Furthermore, the collocation pattern of lump ores and ratio between lump ores was optimized according to interaction. When the proportion of lump ores was up to 23% or 27% at the excellent collocation pattern and appropriate ratio, the burdens still conformed to the requirements of ironmaking.

Application of addtive property of coke thermal property in coal blending study
Recently,along with lacking of high grade coking coals,work of coal blend in coking plant would become more difficultly in order to fulfil manufacturing of blast,which could result in scheme of coal blend change frequently.In the paper,the viewpoint of coke thermal property(CRI/CSR) which coked by single coal possesses additive property was put forward.Based on assumed and amended of thermal property parameters corresponding single coals of altering blending scheme,and combined single coal proportion in scheme of coal blend,the result which calculated values is accordant with experiment data.The viewpoing of coke thermal property which coked by single coal possesses additive property was approved.The viewpoint could provide convenience for designing schemes of coal blending,thereby effectively instructing coal blend manufacturing, and stabilizing or improving quality of coke.

Study on Pyrolysis of Injection Pulverized Coal at Handan Steel by TG-FTIR Technology
The pyrolysis process of injection pulverized coal at Handan Steel was investigated by simultaneous thermogravimetry-fourier transform infrared (TG-FTIR). The results indicated that process of mass loss of Changzhi coal, Changzhi coal added with 30% Dawan coal and Dawan coal could be divided into three stages. The curves of TG decreased quickly and volatiles in sample released mostly at the range of 450-800℃. DTA curves reached the maximum and pyrolytic reaction was violent from 590℃ to 700℃. Experiment showed that the initial temperatures of Changzhi coal added with 30% Dawan coal could decrease 13.5℃, and mass loss rate of mixture coal increased 4.05% than that of Dawan coal. FTIR data suggested the effect of additive on CO content in pyrolysis process was small, while CO2 content went to reduce. The release of methane content increased. Mix coal could promote hydrocarbons gas release and enhance proportion of volatile gas for combustion.

Experimental Study on Inclusion Removing Efficiency of CSP Tundish
As for the techno-interface of CC-HR region, temperature changing regularity of slab are studied during continuous casting, conveying, stack cooling and heating units in typical slab process flow by mathematical simulation and field measurement. The results are as follows: ①when conveying temperature of slab is in the range of 750~ 900℃, the difference of cooling rate is insignificant as different section and same position, the difference of cooling rate is insignificant as different conveying temperature of slab and same position, but the difference of cooling rate is significant between slab surface and center, the cooling rate of slab-narrow is 6.3 K•min-1 , the cooling rate of slab-broad is 7.0 K•min-1 , the cooling rate of slab center is 8.7 K•min-1. ② The cooling rate of stack cooling is between 8.1 K•h-1 and 14.2 K•h-1.③ The difference of thermal history of slab surface and center is significant during hot-charging.

Simulation study and industrial practice of double SENs in beam blank mold
The flow fields of the beam blank mold with double SENs and single SEN were studied by water-model experiment, and the designed parameters of double SENs were optimized by numerical simulation. The results showed that the flow field of double SENs was more symmetrical and molten steel level fluctuation was optimum, and the optimal parameters of double SENs were obtained as below: the diameter of bottom port approximately 23mm, the diameter of side ventro-port approximately 14mm, the diameter of side wing-port approximately 10mm, and side port angle about 60. The technical practice indicated that the liquid steel flow of double SENs was more suitable for the process of the beam blank mold in No.3 steelmaking and rolling plant of Maanshan Iron and Steel Co.. The rate of sticking breakout was descended by 32.8%, the rate of waste product was decreased by 20%, the heat number of sequential casting was increased by about 3 times.

A Model for Predicting Inclusion Content of Steel in the Process of RH Treatment
Based on the industrial production data about ultra-low-carbon Al-killed steel produced by RH(300t ladle) vacuum treatment, a prediction model is built for total oxygen content, namely the quantity of inclusions in steel in RH process. Different influence factors are considered such as: initial oxygen content [O]0,(FeO+MnO)% in slag, flow rate of argon blowing, vacuum degree, treatment time and so on. The error between the calculated values and the measured values is ±3.5~8%, which indicates that this model is reliable. It has a certain guidance to the practical production that analyzing the influences of technological factors in RH process on the total oxygen content in molten steel by this model.

Mineralogical composition of slag with different smelting technics and the structure of slag were studied after adjusting the composition of dephosphorization agent through the method of mineralogical morphology inspection. The lithofacies research and analysis results of converter slag provide a scientific basis for improving the converter smelting process and , prolonging lining life and ameliorating the composition of converter slag.These played an important role in the converter production of ultra-low-phosphorus high-carbon steel technology

Analysis of influencing factor on desulfurization rate in hot metal pretreatment
It is one of an important method of blowing powder magnesium and lime to treat the hot metal for desulphurizing currently. And in the paper, a mathematics model about desulfurization rate and some mainly operation parameters (hot metal temperature, original sulfur content, injection speed of desulfurizer and unit consumption of powder magnesium) was obtained based on fundamental theory of metallurgy and statistics with the data from a certain plant. At the same time, an effect of those operation parameters on desulfurization rate was discussed, and the method to increase desulfurization rate has been put forward.

Group FEM Model for Tube Shape Prediction of Multi-stand Stretch Reducing Process
Aimed to the tube shape for multi-stand stretch reducing rolling unit of seamless tube, the stretch reducing process was divided into rolling deformation in the stand and remeshing among the stands. The group finite element model of tube shape prediction has been established to simulate this process by means of 3-D thermo-mechanical coupled finite element method on the platform of FEM software Marc. The simulated tube shape was analyzed according to the product rolling technical of a company. The reliability of the model was verified by comparing the actual measured data with the simulated results. The model provides the means for improving product quality and instructing technological design.

A strip shape and gauge control system based on recursive sliding mode predictive decoupling control with time-delay
For multivariable system with time-delay, recursive sliding mode predictive diagnol decoupling method is designed. This method combines predictive control and sliding mode control and can be applied to a strip shape and gauge control system. The simulation results and the theoretical analysis is given to demonstrate the correctness and effectiveness of approach which can eliminate chattering and system time-delay. The coupling between shape control and gauge control is depressed. In this paper, the recursive sliding reference trajectory is studied and classified, the differences of two types of reference trajectories can be illustrated

Research of Color Aberration Combination Control Technic for Sheet Strip in Temper Rolling Processing
In allusion to the question of color aberration combination in strip temper rolling, according to so much field experiment and research of theory, combining to the craft feature and equipment characteristic of the skin miller, and on the base of the strip aberration combination influence function, roller aberration combination and color aberration combination control function invented, an color aberration combination control technic was invented, which was aimed at UCM miller. This technic was used for productive practice in 1220 DCR in thin strip CO.Ltd of Baosteel. Good effect was received, and further generalization is worth.

Optimization for Roll Profiles of HC-Mill
By the technique of intermediate roll shifting, the HC-mill’s gap stiffness and the shape control ability is improved significantly. But the peak of contact pressure between rolls forms when the intermediate roll shifts, which leads local wear of rolls and quality defects of strip. A mathematical model of flatness and profile of strip is established. The influence of roll’s profile on the contact pressure between rolls is studied. The work and back roll’s profile of 1220HC mill are optimized. Theoretical calculations show that the peak value of contact pressure between intermediate roll and back roll can be decreased by 20%, and the peak value of contact pressure between intermediate roll and work roll can be decreased by 10%. The industrial experiments show that the local wear of rolls and quality defects of strip can be avoided by such an improvement.

Research and Improvement of mill type of 1550 Tandem Cold Mill
1550mm tandem cold mill in Baosteel was used as the study platform. This paper focused on the improvement of control capability of strip flatness and reduction of roll consumption in UCMW cold tandem mill which is a international mainstream mill type. It is proposed that intermediate roll profile technology which give consideration to evening axial distribution of contact force between rolls & decoupling thought and work roll profile technology which can improve strip edge drop control . control capability of strip flatness was increased, mill type of this UCMW tandem cold mill was improved to some extent. Edge drop and stripe flatness of silicon steel was improved after the modification, control objective had been realized, good effect had been brought about in application.

The effect of FDT on the ridging resistance property of ferritic stainless steel SUS444
The effect of FDT (finishing delivery temperature) on the ridging resistance property of ferritic stainless steel SUS444 was investigated by using EBSD and metallographical technology. The evolution of {110}<001>Goss texture, together with its effect on the ridging resistance property, were discussed. The results showed that the Goss texture{110}<001> caused by shearing deformation during hot rolling could be promoted due to lower FDT, which caused positive effect on the ridging resistance property of the following cold-rolled products.

Effects of Electromagnetic Annealing on Magnetic Properties of Non-oriented Silicon Steel
Based on the orthogonal experiment, the effects of intensity of magnetic field, orientation of magnetic field, annealing temperature and holding time on low grade non-oriented silicon steel are investigated, and the magnetic properties were examined by orthogonal analysis so that the best processing parameters are picked. The results of experiment indicate that annealing temperature and intensity of magnetic field are the key factors of the specific saturation magnetization as well as intensity of magnetic field and holding time affects significantly on the specific remanent magnetization. The specific saturation magnetization and specific remanent magnetization of non-oriented silicon steel could reach 260.7emu/g and 18.265emu/g respectively when annealing temperature is 800℃ with intensity of magnetic field being 3T by means of readjusting orientation of magnetic field and holding time

The Precipitation of Inhibitor (Cu2S) in the experimental Grain Oriented Silicon Steel Made by the Thin Slab Casting and Rolling Process
This paper studied the whole process’s precipitated characteristics of inhibitor (Cu2S) in the grain oriented silicon steel produced by the thin slab casting and rolling process, and then analyzed the effectiveness of inhibitor (Cu2S) in the experimental steel. The results indicates that the main inhibitor (Cu2S) of CGO steel with typical composition continuously grows in the whole process; The distribution density and volume fraction of Cu2S continuously increase before the high temperature annealing process; After the purification treatment in high temperature annealing process, residual Cu2S grows and the distribution density and volume fraction of Cu2S decreased greatly; As the main inhibitor of CGO steel produced by the thin slab casting and rolling process, Cu2S has enough effectiveness, so Cu2S can satisfy the requirements of secondary recrystallization of CGO steel.

Development and Application of a Cold-Rolled Sheet Steel for Chain
The composition characteristics and process requirements and application of a cold rolled sheet for chain are briefed,the microstructures of hot rolled and cold rolled sheet are analyzed,and the comparison test with import steel from Japan is studied.The result of the actual mass production and application indicates that based on C-Mn,the technology route with increasing Mn content and reducing C content is applied,and with suitable Si content,the cold rolled steel sheet chain possesses high tension and good wear-resisting property and high precision through suitable technological processes,appropriate for shift bicycle and motorcycle. The microstructure, properties and thickness precision of the steel have reaceed the user’s requirements .

Influence of “Subsection Cooling” Process on Mechanical Properties of Low Carbon Medium Plate
Considering that real controlled rolling and controlled cooling cannot be realized if rolling capacity is insufficient, it is necessary to increase mechanical properties of test steel by designing proper rolling technique. Effects of controlled cooling process on the mechanical properties and microstructures have been investigated in the paper. The results show that adopting controlled cooling system to cool the test steel can enhance mechanical properties of test steel and reduce banded structure compared with adopting air cooling. During controlled cooling, not only start cooling temperature affects mechanical properties of test steel, but also subsection cooling mode can increase mechanical properties of test steel. By adopting fore-stage cooling dominated process the yield strength increases about 50MPa, tensile strength increases about 30MPa, with an excellent plasticity and low-temperature toughness compared with that by adopting aft-stage cooling dominated process.

Energy saving effect of high emissive coating for BF hot stove
The numerical simulation of the high emissive coating effect and comparison of different application parts of the coating in hot blast stove was studied. The best application part was the high temperature part in the BF hot stove. Based on the simulation result, industrial experiment of thermal efficiency diagnosis and energy saving effect of high emissive coating was carried out at two blast stoves. With the coating, the hot blast temperature was increased by 25℃ and waste gas temperature was decreased by 13℃. As a result the thermal efficiency was increased by of 5%.

Impact of Additives on Foam Glass Prepared by Titania-bearing Blast Furnace Slag
The glass foam insulation material is prepared by using Titania-bearing blast furnace slag as the main raw material. The impact of additives on glass properties is also examined. First we adopt the single-factor experiment to analyse the amount of additives. Then it is Optimized by orthogonal means and the optimal quantity is found. The results showed that foaming agent is calcium carbonate. And with the increase in the amount of the added calcium carbonate, the diameter of foaming glass cell will increase. And we can obtain sample in line with requirement if the amount of foam is within from 0.5 percent to 1.5 percent. Bubbling process will be stable if added sodium phosphate is within from 5 percent to 7 percent. If borax used as aflux with optimal amount within from 6 percent to 8 percent, it can help reduce ordinary glass softening temperature, which is conducive to the firing of foaming glass .The optimal number value of added additives is confirmed by using orthogonal method as 1.5 percent,6 percent, 6 percent for calcium carbonate, foaming agent, borax flux respectively. The magtitude of impact of additives on glass properties arrange in an order of calcium carbonate , foaming agent and borax flux.

A Desulfurizing Technologic Selection of Hot Metal Pretreatment for New Developed Area of Chongqing Iron and Steel Group
With the development of hot metal pretreatment technology, KR process, composite and single magnesium particles powder injection are widely applied in pretreatment of hot metal desulfurization technology. Chongqing iron & steel group plans to reconstruction a new plant which yield is 6,000,000 ton in new developed area.
