Abstract:From the aspects of steel composition, top slag, temperature, refining process, feeding calcium and argon blowing, and combining with the analysis of submerged nozzle blockage, the reasons for submerged nozzle clogging of the three different refining processes of medium carbon low silicon aluminum killed steel are researched.It is determined that the main reasons for submerged nozzle clogging are low nozzle air blowing flow which is harmful to prevent the nozzle clogging, high oxidability of top slag, non-standard operation of feeding aluminum and?inclusion floating,?poor effect of calcium treatment,and low argon pressure in stopper, side-gate plates and nozzle.As technical measures suitable for industrialized production are put forward,the continuous casting heats reaches to 12 or more after optimization of process control parameters.
