Analysis of Process Problems for Extra-Thickness Slab Caster
The production process of extra-thickness slab caster was studied. The key factors affecting the casting speed, matching relation of the caster and converter, the effect of dead solidification time on the shrinkage and some related problems were discussed in details. Finally, some effective routes to improve the process quality were proposed.

Research and Application of F-EMS Technology for the 3th Billet
The influences of casting speed and the cooling rate of the secondary cooling water in central segregation and shrinkage are studied. By using the method of pin shooting,under the constant casting speed,the shell thicknesses are measured at different cooling rates of the secondary cooling water, which are important to confirm the shell thickness and the parameters of F-EMS.The casting process and parameters of F-EMS were determined by installing the device of F-EMS.The internal quality of casting slab and the casting speed were improved and the central segregation of carbon was reduced after optimizing M-EMS.

Investigation on Controlling Molten Steel Level in Tundish
Continuous casting process and billet quality were directly impacted by the bath level of molten steel in tundish. The relationship among the slide gate of shroud nozzle, bath level of molten steel in tundish, nozzle clogging and casting speed during continuous casting process was investigated and analyzed; and the relevant mathematical relationship was also derived. Based on one actual steel industry, bath level in tundish and open percentage of slide gate in theory were calculated to some extent of nozzle clogging and casting speed. Then, the theoretical operation schedule was plotted in order to assist casting worker on the casting platform.

Research and Application for High-Efficiency
In order to meet the needs of production of subsequent Wide Strip Rolling, to improve and make the equipments to have a reliable guarantee of the accuracy, cooperating with CCTEC, Laiwu steel designed and implemented No.2 slab cast plant high efficiently. By reforming and improving the mould, secondary cooling system, oscillator and so on, the production of the single slab caster has reached two million ton per year.

Analysis for Casting Machine Casting off of Non-Program
The reasons for the continuous casting machine casting off of non-program caused by pouring of molten steel was analyzed. The main reason is considered to be blocked, which covers the low-temperature molten steel outlet plug, plug nozzle ladle, tundish and tundish nozzle blockage, and the department of plug nozzle bowl followed by abnormal erosion Stopper Stopper impact of control flow. Taking preventive measures, the number of casting machine casting off of non-plan decreased from 1.8 times/month to 0.8 times/month, steel furnace revision from the 1.4 oven/stove to the 0.6/month, and the production practice is better.

Study and Application of Xingcheng Thick Slab Continuous
The secondary cooling model based on the solidification model with tracing elements is convenient to establish the reasonable secondary cooling system under site process conditions;It can control the liquid hole shape and depth in solidification end and prepare for soft reduction which can improve the surface quality and the interior quality of slab. After optimization, we can prevent surface longitudinal and transverse cracks, improve center porosity and segregation, and eliminate internal cracks.

The Design and Application of All-Shield Casting Process on Beam-Blank
In order to realize stopper auto-control function for single nozzle all-shield casting process, beam-blank caster process, equipment and self-contained refractory material were designed and optimized. Under the condition of casting protection, the mold has rational flow field, and even liquid slag layer distribution is stable, which not only protects the molten steel from reoxidation but also promotes the quality of the blank. Meanwhile, the auto-control level of the caster is promoted, the workers’ labor intensity is reduced and the work environment is improved, so as to make solid foundation for high quality H-beam development and mass production.

Experimental Study of Impact of Pressure and
The effect of pressure and arcs voltage on marked effect of spray marking machine was studied. The results indicate that the smaller the pressure is, more blurred the words are, and the effect is worse. The largest pressure should be used while spraying the words; the smaller the Arcs voltage is, more clearly the words are; but if the voltage is too small, words will not be continuous and arcs are not normal. Therefore we should use the smallest value of arcs voltage in the case of ensuring the continuous and normal arcs, the effect is the best when arcs voltage is 10-15V. The arc voltage has little effect on ambiguity of words.

Development and Application of Quality
Principle and application of several kinds of Determination System of Slab Quality abroad at present were introduced; however,because of restraint from technology and funds, Determination System of Slab Quality hadn’t been applied in the domestic casting machine. Therefore CCTEC autonomously developed Quality Estimation System for domesic conticasters, which was applied on the line successfully. The function, principle and characteristics of QES were introduced in detail and application of QES in Laiwu has steel has achieved better results.
