Abstract: Two different shapes of 12MnNiVR steel plates with different thickness were used for tensile testing. The influence of specimen shape on the tensile strength and elongation after fracture were analyzed. The results showed that the tensile properties of circular specimens of 12MnNiVR steel were better than those of plate specimens, which could enable the improvement of qualification rate.
