Abstract:Research results on coldbending properties of hotrolled ribbed bar since 1990s in China are summarized. Through study of chemical composition,mechanical properties,grades of inclusions,fractographs and microstructure of the products, it was found that dendritic structures is observed in large ribbed bar with cracks along roots of transverse ribs. The results of heat treatment indicated:that dendritic structure starts to homogenize after heating to 1000 ℃ for 50 min. Uniform F+P microstructure is available at 1100 ℃ for 70 min. According to the theory of recrystallization,the reasons of dendritic formation are analyzed,and measures to improve are proposed.
