Abstract：The structure of offshore platform is mainly composed of structural pipe and I-beam. The structural pipe is dominant, and various pipe nodes are formed on the connecting welds between structural pipes, which are summarized into three types, namely T-type, K-type and Y-type. Due to the special position of these nodes, the shape of the node weld is also irregular, which is a difficult point in ultrasonic testing. The operation skills and data processing of ultrasonic testing for structural pipe joints welds were mainly introduced. Avoid checking failures and misjudgement, eusure the quality of offshore plalform.
