High-cycle fatigue properties of medium-carbon microalloyed forging steels
It is increasingly demanded to improve the fatigue properties of medium-carbon microalloyed forging steels which are increasingly used to replace conventional quenched and tempered (QT) medium-carbon steels for the manufacture of fatigue design components. For ferrite-pearlite steel, owing to the existence of soft phase of ferrite, it is revealed that fatigue crack preferentially initiated and propagated along the ferrite/pearlite boundary in the early stage of fatigue crack propagation. Therefore, the fatigue property of ferrite-pearlite type microalloyed forging steel could be improved by increasing ferrite strength through precipitation strengthening and controlling the distribution of ferrite and refining microstructure. Further investigation shows that ferrite-pearlite steel with film-like ferrite along coarse prior austenite grain boundary and pearlite microstructure or coarse bainite microstructure has lower fatigue property. However, ferrite-pearlite steel with much fine and uniform ferrite and pearlite microstructure has higher fatigue property. Microalloying element V can significantly improve the fatigue properties of ferrite-pearlite steel mainly through precipitation strengthening and grain refining mechanism in as-forged condition. Unlike that of tempered martensite structure, there is little effect of oxygen content on the fatigue properties of ferrite-pearlite steel. In conclusion, the fatigue properties of microstructure carefully controlled ferrite-pearlite steel could be as high as that of QT steel.

Experimental Study on Sticking Process during Reduction of Concentrate Fines in Fluidized Bed
By the use of thermal state visualized fluidized bed, sticking process during reduction of concentrate fines has been investigated. The macrography view of fluidized bed and microcosmic changes of particles were described. It was found that different reductants leaded to unlike swelling level of batch layer. For example, swelling is about 40% if in H2-N2 mixtures, but it raise to 82% in CO-N2 mixtures. Sticking strength, in addition, between grains after defluidization related to reductant kind, and it was proved that the sticking is postponable by lessening aptly temperature of reduction and the effects of CO is more obvious than H2. It was discovered in microcosmic that these differences are connected with iron crystals morphology.

New Technologies of 5500m3 Blast Furnace at Shougang Jingtang
In combination with the development of iron-making technology with extra-large blast furnaces in China and abroad, analysis is made on the development tendency of modern BF iron-making technique and the author raises the development objectives of modernized technology, large-scale equipment, intensive production, recycling resources and energy media and optimized economic benefits. In the paper description is given to the technical features and advanced technologies of the extra-large blast furnace in Shougang Jingtang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. Also introduction is made to BF sinter charging by different fraction sizes, bell-less top equipment and control technology of burden distribution, high-efficiency long-service-life technology of blast furnace, high blast temperature with long service life technology of hot stove, environment-friendly slag treatment technology, oxygen-enrichment pulverized coal injection technology and BF gas dry bag filter dedusting technology that are applied on the 5500m3 blast furnace in Shougang Jingtang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.

A Study on Iron-Coal Composite Pellet with MgO
An investigation on iron-coal pellet with MgO was carried out in order to improve its compression strength. It was shown that iron-coal composite pellet’s strength increase first and then decrease with a assembling roasting temperature(1200℃-1300℃) in the condition 6% coal and 1.5% dolominite, and got its maximum at 1280℃,while the temperature is higher than that value, the compression strength will be decreased due to the inner pore, and lower than it, the strength was detoreated

Theoretical Analysis on Pressure Loss in Blast System of BF
Based on the fluid dynamics, the calculated model of pressure loss was developed for blast system of BF, and the pressure loss of blast system was analyzed theoretically. Furthermore, the effect of pressure loss in blast system on blast velocity and blast momentum in front of tuyere was discussed. According to the performance of 5000m3 superlarge blast furnace, firstly, the pressure loss of blast system is about 11% of the measured pressure at the end of hot blast main. Secondly, under the same air quantity, the blast velocity and blast momentum with considering the pressure loss of blast system are higher than those without the pressure loss of blast system. Finally, in order to reduce the tuyere losses, the upper limit of blast velocity should be controlled below 280m/s, and the upper limit of blast momentum should be suggested bdlow 18000 kg(f)•m/s.

Numerical Simulation and Application of Type Optimization on Tundish
Tundish type has an important influence on the steel fluid flow in tundish, moreover influences metallurgy effect of the tundish. By the evaluation criterion of the residence time of fluid in tundish, the tundish structure of a production plant was optimized by numerical simulation method. The results show that the volume fraction of piston flow region was increased from 39.3% to 69.6%, and the dead region was decreased from 10.11% to 4.77%,and the biggest denseness time of outlet was prolonged 200s, and Casting Remnant decreased 3.5 ton. The total quantity of Macro-inclusion was decreased by 72.35%. The optimized tundish has been used stably in this steelmaking plant since Dec.2008. The result of shows that metallurgy effect of the tundish has been improved greatly and production cost was cut down and distinct benefit was created for the plant.

Study on Non-oriented Silicon Steel Desulfurizing Technology of the 120t BOF
With the actual production of Non-oriented Silicon Steel,the source of sulphur and the metallugic parameters like slag character , temperature and bottom stirring have been analyzed.The results show that the main source of steel is molten metal,scrap, the remaining slag volume in hot metal and lime; For advanc effect of desulphurization when smelt Silicon Steel, metallugic parameters are controled as follow:end slag R: 3.0~3.5, (FeO)≤20%,end temperature≥1680℃ and enhance bottom stirring. The ave [S] is 0.0048%,whtch can satisfy Non-oriented Silicon Steel.

Study on new submersed entry nozzle in slab caster
The fluid flow in the mould of slab continuous caster was investigated by 1:1 ratio water modeling simulation system. The effects of outlet angle of Bilateral and quadripuntal SEN on surface turbulence, penetration depth and surface velocity were discussed and the regularity of the flow field for change of outlet angle in slab continuous casting mould was obtained. And the results show that the case C (both α and β are downward angle and α<β) is better for high speed slab caster needs, for this kind of SEN can stabilize surface turbulence and reduce penetration depth and get moderate velocity.

Research on Extending the Lifetime of Multiple Blowing BOF when Extracting Vanadium
Contrary to the problem of BOF when extracting vanadium with multiple blowing technology such as supplying capacity is not enough、lifetime of multiple blowing is short、effect of smelting is poor, the optimization of structure of bottom blowing brick used to ventilating was developed, the system used to supplying gas was devised, the crafts of extracting vanadium with multiple blowing technology was developed as well as the protecting technology of brick used to ventilating was used. These made strength of gas supplying of BOF increased to at least 0.10 Nm3/(min.t).The multiple blowing lifetime was extended, especially reached to 7455 stove. The proportion of multiple blowing reached to 100%. The quality of vanadium slag was improving obviously, such as the contents of TFe in vanadium slag was reduced 2.42% and the grade of V2O5 in vanadium slag was increased 1.65%.

Mechanism of sticking of scale onto UF roll and optimization of roll material
during rolling the heavy rails with dual slope at inner foot through the finishing mill(UF),sticking of scale at interconnection point of two straight line occurs, which severely restricts the productivity of the line and the quality of product. After many times of process optimization following the conventional principle, this problem still can not be removed or even reduced. But the application of MARC software for simumation analysis of metal flowing rules through the UF helps find out the reason why sitcking can not be solved by process optimization, by means of principle of lubrication rolling , continuous trial of optimization of roll materail considerably removes the sticking of scale onto UF. A set of new roll can increase the rolling productivity by 176.5tons within the same service cycle.

Based on project of electric steel strip shape optimization control research ,the paper totally study affective factor on deformation of roller ,hot contour ,wear curve of hot-rolling,cold-rolling and single stand mill ,design out roll profile optimization curve by collection of work condition data , numerical value simulation calculate and test of industrial big production, meet need of crown shape optimum strategy of difference mill type ,resolve problem of electric steel edge drop control. New design roll profile was proved that it is advanced in decrease electric steel edge drop control in-country.

Influences of Coiling Temperature on Microstructure and Precipitation of Cold Rolled Deep Drawing Sheet Produced by CSP Process
通过现场实验,研究了卷取温度对CSP工艺下冷轧低碳钢板组织和析出的影响。实验结果表明:包钢SPCD热轧板的显微组织为均为多边形铁素体和很少的珠光体,随着卷取温度升高,渗碳体析出明显增多,呈白亮条块状的渗碳体沿晶界析出。CSP流程热轧后AlN的析出量不大,但高温卷取时的AlN析出要高于低温卷取的,卷取温度为600℃时,渗碳体级别与AlN的析出均得到很好的控制,同时{111}织构取向分布密度达到最高,从而更有利于提升冷轧深冲带钢的成形性能。

Aging Performance Study of U75V Rail
Effects of temperature and time on the performance and chemical composition fluctuation are studied with natural aging and artificial aging method. The results showed that the phenomenon of strength increased but residual stress and hydrogen content reduced is occurred with the increased time and temperature increased on U75V, and then timeliness.

Effect of thermal cycle on the microstructure and mechanical properties of heat affected zone of 07MnCrMoVR steel
The mechanical properties and microstructure of 07MnCrMoVR heat affected zone was studied by thermal simulation technology and microstructure examination technology. The results indicated that coarsed grain zone and critical zone are the brittlement zones in heat affected zone during single thermal cycle testing, and the brittlement of caorsed grain zone ascribed to the grain coarsing and the formation of granular bainite and M-A constituent. With the increase of t8/5, the toughness of coarsed grain zone decrease, and it should be controlled in 30s in actual welding. The formation of lot of massive M-A constituents distributed along grain boundary is the main cause for the brittlement of intercritically reheated coarse grained HAZ

High-cycle fatigue properties of secondary hardening ultra-high strength steel
High-cycle fatigue properties and fatigue crack growth behavior of high clean secondary hardening ultra-high strength steel (AF1410) which was made by vacuum induction melting followed by vacuum arc remelting (VIM-VAR) have been studied in this paper. The experimental results indicate that high clean AF1410 steel has excellent combination of strength and toughness and high resistance on fatigue crack growth. Fatigue strength of smooth specimen (R=0.1, Kt=1) and notch specimen (R=0.1, Kt=3) reach 1375MPa and 417MPa. Fatigue cracks all initiated from specimen surface. Tempering temperature remarkably affect the threshold value of fatigue crack propagation.

Microstructure Characteristic and Mechanical Properties of X100 Pipeline Steel in Different Cooling Schedules
A lab designed pipeline steel was used to study the continuous cooling transformation (CCT) and the microstructure characteristic and mechanical properties in different cooling schedules. It was shown that with cooling rate increasing and finish cooling temperature decreasing, the microstructure evolved from acicular ferrite to lath bainite and martensite, martensite islands or M-A islands were micro-twining martensite in non-quenched steel, the comprehensive mechanical properties was the optimum in the steel that cooled to about 450℃ at the rate of about 30℃/s without relaxation. When relaxation and super-fast cooling process is used, it is essential to well control the relaxation time and finish cooling temperature of super-fast cooling process and combine with the following cooling process for obtaining the perfect microstructure and strength and toughness.

Technology Progress of Energy-saving in Shougang
Under the policy of energy-saving and emission reduction such as structure adjustment of steel industry and behindhand production capacity dropped, Shougang group newly built modern steel plant such as Shouqin, Qiangang and Jingtang company, and united and recombined with plant such as Shuigang and Changgang, comprehensive energy consumption dropped by year with production capacity and scale enlarged. By fulfilled measures such as energy-saving technology application, reducing total energy consumption by industry structure adjustment, improving converter gas recycled quantity, lowering blast furnace gas releasing ratio, increasing differential pressure and coke dry quenching power generation quantity, lowering water consumption and steel ratio coefficient, energy-saving technology progress in Shougang in recent years is illustrated. Energy-saving direction and countermeasure in future in Shougang are pointed out.

Research and Application of On-line Mathematical Model for the High-temperature Roller Hearth Furnace
In order to obtain the plate temperature of one company's new high-temperature roller hearth furnace accurately, the mathematical models of the furnace gas temperature and heat transfer in the plate internal and roller hearth furnace were studied and established. On the basis of detailed analysis, the plate temperature tracking mathematical model in furnace was built, which was solved by FDM and TDMA methods. The applications show that the plate temperature tracking model is simple and reliable, is a scientific basis for plates’ quality control in the heating process and is significant to improve tapping temperature hit rate.

Analysis of the detected unqualified U75V rail waists
To find out the unqualified reason of the detected rails, we checked metallurgical structure、non-metallic inclusion and scanned the non-metallic inclusion component。We found the silicate inclusions longer than 2mm in the unqualified railwaists, and it is believed that the disqualifications are due to the effects of exceptional silicate non-metallic inclusions.
