Abstract:In the metallographic and SEM analysis of the web crack of Laiwu Steel Group’s H beam, found that there are lots of heterogeneity particulates round the web crack. In order to find the character of the heterogeneity particulates, the relationship between the heterogeneity particulates and the web crack, and the forming process of web crack metallographic structure which have the same characteristic, this paper designed a special experiment prefabricate web crack in the shaped blank to research and test. By researching of the experiment, this paper found the character of the heterogeneity particulates, the relationship between the heterogeneity particulates and the web crack, the forming process of web crack metallographic structure, and concluded the main factors of influencing the forming process and size of the heterogeneity particulates. Designed prevention measures in continue casting, heating and hot rolling process to decrease or eliminate the web crack.
