Reason and Control for Slab Continuous Casting Mold
Combining the IF steel slab caster production practice of Masteel, the influence factors of mould level fluctuation were analyzed; and corresponding measures were taken to effectively control mould level fluctuation.The inclusion rate of IF steel was reduced and steady casting was guaranteed.

Effect of Optimization of Secondary Cooling System on the Quality Improvement of Continuous Casting Slab
In order to develop products and increase production capacity, Nanyang Hanye Special Steel Co Ltd improved secondary cooling system and changed pure water into foggy spray cooling. After the improvement, the qualification rate of surface quality of the microalloyed steel with Nb, V and Ti was increased from 93.8% to 92.5% without changing other conditions. The parameter in different zones of secondary cooling system was optimized and the qualification rate of surface quality was increased from 92.5% to 98.81%, achieving desired results.

Characteristic of Fluid Flow in Four-Strand Tundish
The fluid flow of four-strand tundish under various control devices was studied by water model experiments. The results show that high rate of flow fluid makes a large difference between the edge outlet and the middle outlet, and has high dead volume fraction. The improved tundish makes the characteristic of flow of fluid convergent, the gap of residence time between different outlets is reduced to 1 or 2 seconds, the residence time is increased by an average 145.9 s, and the dead volume fraction is decreased by an average 17.2%.

Study and Solve ML08Al Nozzle Blocking
Hangang three steelmaking billet production ML08AL immersion type nozzle blocking was studied, analyzes the formation mechanism of the continuous casting process under the influence factors of nozzle blocking was analyzed, and improving protection of steel cast level and inclusions of plug sex reassignment processing was put forward. Measures for blowing argon bar can effectively prevent nozzle blocking, solve the problem of water mouth, stabilize production rhythm, and have achieved good economic benefits.

Improve Interior Quality of Thick Slab Q345E Steel Under Dynamic Soft Reduction
The thick slab casting steel Q345E for wind power flange is favored for the price advantage and is an alternative to replace expensive round billet products. The key point is the feasibility of slab as an alternative, and the most important quality is its internal quality control; dynamic soft reduction is considered to be one of the most important means which improve interior quality. After the improvement, Q345E steel internal quality is stable, meets the requirements of wind power flange, and has won good reputation.

Control and Practice of Slab Caster Segment Lifetime
Segments are important and key equipments of slab continuous caster, and have a major impact on shape and internal quality defects of the slab. Slab caster maintenance costs and repair cycle are also determined by the normal lifetime of the segment. For the problems exposed by segment, it took Shougang Qiangang more than three years to research technically, management methods of 6σ, PDCA etc. were used, effective measures were taken to make the online lifetime of segment to be increased substantially and slab quality was kept stable. An advanced level for the lifetime of segment has already been reached in the same industry.

The online rotary deburrer of No.4 Steelmarking and Rolling General Plant was introduced. The deburrer is made by LENZING company from Germany. The structure, characteristics and working principle of deburrer with rotating hammer were introduced. The advantages and disadvantages of the rotating hammer derburrer were analyzed, and the applications and troubleshooting during the production were illustrated as well.

Application of Dual Rolling EMS in Slab Continuous Casting Machine
Under conditions of the existing pair of electromagnetic stirring device on No.0 segment in No.2 steelmaking plant, the installation location and stirring parameters of roll type electromagnetic stirring device on the secondary cooling zone have been repeatedly tested and studied in order to produce high quality silicon steel stably. And the appropriate installation position of the added pair of electromagnetic stirring rolls has been determined. In the end, better metallurgical results have been achieved for the both pairs of rolls type electromagnetic stirring device.

Quality Defect Analysis and Controlled Strategies of H Beam
The web crack, web pits, rotten steel flange and the R corner cracks of H-shaped steel beam blank rolling surface were tested by optical microscope observation, SEM observation and energy spectrum; the crack formation mechanism was also analyzed by means of ANSYS simulation of temperature field after profiled billet cogging. It is considered that H beam web crack formation is mainly related to the longitudinal angle beam blank R; the web surface is mainly connected with subcutaneous bubbles and furnace heating system; and black steel flange is mainly concerned with mould power; R corner cracks are related to large differences in stress caused by BD-Ur-E-Uf large temperature gradient in the rolling process. Measures were proposed accordingly.

Discussion of Slab Fine Low Organization Control Technology
Slab low organization control technology mainly includes low temperature poured steel, mould electro-magnetic stirring nucleating agent, and join Johnson mould steel cooling. The slab low organization center equiaxial crystal was analyzed, the formation mechanism of the slab low organization center equiaxial crystal of several control technology and their application in production were introduced, as well as the casting low organization control technology development and application practice, the slab low magnification to high-quality slab process was pushed and the combination of the rapid development of continuous casting industry was promoted.
