Abstract:A corrosion-resistant nickel carbide-free bainitic steel was researched and developed, which was used for high strength and high toughness seamless steel tubes. Microstructure of the steel was consisted of carbide-free bainite, martensite and retained austenite flake, the existing of residual austenite flake enables carbide-free bainite seamless pipe to have good toughness while still maintaining high strength. For the ratio of strength to toughness can meet a variety of applications. The variation of the morphology and retained austenite content under different heat treatment systems was analyzed by Gleeble thermal simulation, X-ray diffraction and metallography.An important experimental basis was provided for the manufacture of the oil special seamless pipes with high strength, high toughness and high corrosion resistance.
