Optimizing Deoxidating Process and Improving Castability for Low Carbon and Low Silicon Steel

Abstract:The deoxidation process of low-carbon and low-silicon steel in steel plant of Chongqing Steel was introduced. The nuzzle clogging was analyzed and some measures were put forward. Production experiments showed that when the active oxygen was controlled between 10×10-6~30×10-6, the amount of furnaces would rise from 6~7 to 11~12, which will make the casting process work well and reduce casting holes.
